  • Manage weight

    The South Indian Diet is a tasty, healthy way to manage your weight. It is rich in spices and a mix of all the key nutritional ingredients which is absolutely easy to make.

  • Kick start your day

    Start the day with 10 soaked almonds and a fruit. The fruit will give you energy to jump start you day and the almond swill provide you with natural antioxidants necessary to keep your system clean.

  • Breakfast options

    For breakfast, 2 Idlis with chatni or plain Neer dosa and chatni are a good start. It is light on the stomach and filling at the same time.

  • Lunch menu

    Here’s where you have to hold back. Try to have just one bowl of steamed rice with bus saaru, cabbage palya and salad. You can replace the rice with 2 ragi balls too. Take in more vegetable to feel full but not stuffed.

  • Tea-time snack

    Stay off the fried foods and skip the sugar as well. Roasted, low calorie snacks are a good choice for tea-time.

  • Dinner time

    For dinner, you can have rotis but have only two of them. Instead of curry, have curd made of skimmed milk along with a bowl of gojju. Gojju is delicious thick gravy cooked with spicy coconut paste.

  • Desert

    There is no need to avoid the ghee laden Mysore paak or payasam if you have a sweet tooth. You can have a small portion of it and eat it mindfully. But do not make it a daily habit.

  • Water-up

    Throughout the day, remember to have enough water. At least 8-10 glasses are important. Make sure you give a gap of at least 2 hours between your dinner and going to sleep.

  • Choose healthy

    Don’t get confused between dieting and starving yourself. Choose to eat healthy and within a reasonable limit. But don’t keep yourself hungry to lose weight.
